September

This season has, quite literally, flown by. Because of my usual show schedule, many of my weekends have seen me all over the country. Jim and I made a wonderful trip to the Bellview Art Show and we exhibited at the Park City Art Show the follow weekend. We visited our galleries in Aspen and Jackson Hole on the way home and returned to finish up the renovation of our new home near New Orleans.

Converting a mid century modern house into an African Lodge/Balinese style home has been challenging. New porches, tropical landscaping and palms have added to our view of the oldest, largest oak tree in the Northern Hemisphere. (Yep - right next door) We tore out old railings, floors and kitchen appliances and put in lots of natural wood, stone bamboo and organic decor. Thatch hardwood ceilings and the furniture and items we've collected on our travels over the years seem to be just what our home needed to feel "right" to us. All along I have been creating new art pieces.
