KATAMBORA CHEETAH

Limited Edition Giclee Print

This is a mother walking out in front of her almost grown children.   Clumsy and inexperienced, the youngsters will ruin more hunts than they help.  There will be a day when she must leave, forcing them to remember their lessons.

I'ts a form of tough love , without which her cubs would never leave their easy life and make one of their own.  Cheetah mothers are particularly tough, solo hunting, evading lions and hyenas, often raising litters of up to six.

Giclee Dimensions: 48x36" on gallery wrapped canvas

I have to wonder why I'm always so mesmerized by the stare of the cheetahs rusty brown eyes?

Cheetahs lend themselves to charcoal drawing with their lean musculature and poetic grace.
