ZAMBEZI CROSSING

Limited Edition Giclee Print

I was camping on a low lying island ona tributary of the Zambezi- the morning was bitterly cold in the month of July, and my guide handed me a steaming cup of coffee that morning. I held it under my nose, letting the steam envelope me when a small breeze shifted the steam, shifted the fog over the water, revealing this silent mirage.  A small calf is evident near the rear, and the Matriarch leads. The need for silence was owing to the possibility of crocs nearby, but the lack of any sound added to the surreal moment.

This piece was done on heavy Arches paper, so I've chosen to make the giclees with the deckled edge showing, floater style, over a custom background.

Giclee Dimensions: 20" x 60" with borders, deckled edges floating on top $1200.

There's hardly anything more exciting than watching elephants near water, playing, trumpeting, and sending water in all directions

Unlike the herd in this photograph, the elephants I drew were quietly crossing, protective of the young elephants in their midst....

There are few things more beautiful and fun than elephants in water!
