Being the sight-line hunters that cheetah are, it's not surprising that they will find a high vantage point like a termite mound or fallen tree trunk.

The Sentinel

An A E London Original

A  cheetah's large eyes are built for seeing long distances- light gathering lenses give them a deep glow, and the black marking surrounding them keep glare from distorting their view. It's easy for them to leap up to the top of a termite mound as seen here.  Though they can climb up a tree easily, climbing down can be a problem with non retractable claws.  And that's good for me, as like the leopard, their beautiful coats would hide them entirely then.

Dimensions: 40" X 60" $4660.
