AT THE END OF THE DAY

An A E London Original

A moment of peace, eyes closing, light fading after a long day. These two cheetah , a "coalition" will work together for short times.  I've chosen a cool and languid palette, to give the piece its tone.

I've been lucky to see cheetah in wild reserves.  Many areas are choked with non native plant species that ruin a cheetah's necessary dash after prey.

The Cheetah Conservation Foundation in Namibia has addressed both the killing of cheetahs by farmers, and also the removal of non native plant species. A real success in Namibia.

A piece done with not only oil paint over charcoal, but also a cold wax medium allowing more depth in the shadowed areas.

Dimensions: 24" x 72" framed in black, $4226.

We had followed these two cheetah brothers for several hours, hence the bored look on our friend Kelly's face

Very gestural, as cheetah seems to be in all their moves.
