- The Artist
This oil painting is a statement using my recent sketching time in the Serengeti, and the idea of social distancing in our world. The three cubs have been left by their mother and aunties in the scarce shade under a solitary tree, there to wait for their return, and hopefully, be led to a meal. The new Spring green, harbinger of a time of plenty for all, brackets the cool shade, while the cubs, though separate, maintain a light touch with each other.
